DisneyThere are eight Disney theme parks in the US, found at the two resorts in Florida and California.

In 2009 Disney theme parks were visited by approximately 119 million people, this makes Disney parks the world's most visited in the world.


Walt Disney World Resort
The Walt Disney World Resort originally opened in 1971, with the Magic Kingdom and three resort hotels. Today it is the largest vacation resort in the world, with four theme parks, two water parks, a shopping and entertainment complex, 20 resort hotels, eight golf courses, and miles of recreational activities.


Disneyland Resort
Disneyland was original a single park opened by Walt Disney and opened to the public on July 18, 1955 in Anaheim, California. In 2001, the area was officially named the Disneyland Resort with the opening of Disney California Adventure Park.
