Discover a variety of pavilions that explore innovative aspects and applications of technology. There are themed areas focusing on discovery and scientific achievements: Innoventions, Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy, Imagination, The Land, The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Test Track and Mission: SPACE.

Spaceship Earth
Take a ride through time for a look at the landmark moments that made today’s communications technology possible. Travel back to the dawn of recorded history, when early man painted his thoughts on cave walls, the Egyptians invented papyrus and the Phoenicians devised the alphabet. See ideas spread like wildfire with the invention of Johannes Gutenberg’s printing press, Greek systems of mathematics and the inspiring works of the masters of the Renaissance. The wheels of time turn ever faster as we progress to the modern age of media communications, from newspapers announcing the end of the Civil War to the televised broadcast of the moon landing and beyond.

    Innoventions
Imagine, invent, inquire and be inspired in 2 pavilions housing fun interactive games, exhibits and activities for all ages. Get blown away by gale force winds, design your own thrill ride and learn healthy habits to save the world! These interactive experiences and much more are waiting for you inside Innoventions East and West, 2 pavilions where you’ll discover engaging exhibits, stimulating simulations and educational games that get youngsters excited about learning.

    Mission: SPACE
Experience authentic NASA-style training and an out-of-this-world space launch on this shuttle simulator. Fulfill your fantasy of being an astronaut as you dodge meteors, navigate nebulae and slingshot around the moon. Each member of your 4-cadet crew will assume an important role: navigator, pilot, commander or engineer. During your flight, each cadet will be instructed to initiate a mission-critical sequence, so be prepared! Board your vessel, lower your harness and brace yourself for the incredible force of lift-off. Get goose bumps as you arc around the moon and enter hypersleep. Then hold on tight as you attempt a precarious precision landing on the planet’s red alien surface.

    Test Track
Design a virtual concept vehicle and then go for a high-octane spin at this attraction that’s thrilling and creative. Buckle up in a 6-passenger “simulation car” and put a virtual vehicle that you created to the test. Steer your way inside the Chevrolet Design Center and design your own virtual custom concept vehicle. Add some finishing touches to your design before boarding a special “SIM Car” and taking off on a fun-filled driving evaluation. Discover how your custom concept vehicle performs thanks to easy-to-read visual charts as you rev through rough terrain and surprise obstacles along the winding Test Track circuit. Fly through straight-aways, maneuver switchbacks through inclement weather, hug curves banked at 50-degree angles and scale hills that are up to 3-stories high! At almost a mile long, with peak speeds of 65 mph, Test Track is a thrilling ride you’ll want to take again and again!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends
Frolic with a colorful cast of undersea characters in this attraction based on Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo. The ever-elusive clownfish is missing again, but is he really lost or just playfully hiding? Help Marlin and Dory find him! Board a “clamobile” and descend below the waves into a “Big Blue World” where Nemo and his friends flit through brightly colored coral reefs and gently swaying sea anemones. Swim with Mr. Ray and his school and see ultra-cool, ultraviolet “jellies.” Dodge underwater mines, a toothy angler fish and an even toothier Bruce the shark as he lurks in the rusted hull of a sunken ship. Then catch a ride on the righteous EAC (East Australian Current) with sea turtle Crush and his little dude Squirt, and watch it barrel over you.

    Soarin
Take flight and feel the wind through your hair as you fly above breathtaking vistas of California. Experience the Golden State like never before while "hang-gliding” over landscapes as varied as they are beautiful. Feel like you're flying—and even smell what you're seeing as you skim rolling waves, powdery ski slopes, majestic redwood forests, fragrant orange groves and familiar landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge. In the grand Disney tradition, Imagineers pulled out all the stops to make fantasy reality, bringing California to life using a 180-degree IMAX projection dome and aerially captured footage that reproduces the flight path of a hang-glider. Thrill as you're lifted 40 feet in the air, engulfed in the stunning panoramas, swept from one scenic locale to the next!

    Turtle Talk with Crush
Gather ’round a window to the ocean for a real-time Q-and-A session with your favorite totally tubular turtle. Got a burning question for Crush? This intimate 15-minute conversation is your chance to ask him! Using his high-tech “hydrophone,” Crush can communicate directly with little dudes and dudettes about literally anything that’s on their minds. Enter the Turtle Talk theater and take a seat in front of the window into Crush’s ocean world. Watch as he swims up to the underwater mic, looks you in the eye and even addresses you by name! Pick his brain about marine biology, his friends from Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo, his favorite food, life in general—it’s totally up to you. Each show is unique, improvised and a barrel of laughs—definitely a good time for little dudes of all ages, and the parentals as well. No two shows are the same, so you can keep coming back again and again.
