At the Magic Kingdom, Mickey's Toontown Fair initially opened as Mickey's Birthdayland on June 18, 1988. It became Mickey's Starland on May 26, 1990, and received its current name on October 1, 1996. Its storyline portrays the land as the holiday home for the characters who reside at Mickey's Toontown in California.

2010- 2013 Fantasyland Expansion

In September 2009, it was announced at the D23 Expo that Fantasyland would be expanded to incorporate Disney Princess and Disney Fairies characters, along with a larger 3 ring circus-themed Dumbo area. The expansion will require Mickey's Toontown Fair to be demolished[1] Pictures of a model of the expansion have began leaking to the Internet. The model includes a different set-up for some attractions than the original blueprints showed. It also includes the addition of a new attraction, a mad tea party style attraction based on the characters from the Tinker Bell movies.[2]. It was later announced that The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm will be redesigned and incorporated into the newly re-imagined 3 ring circus-themed Dumbo area.
