Six Flags Great America, Chicago

Six Flags Great America is a Six Flags theme park in the Chicago metropolitan area, located in Gurnee, Illinois. It first opened in 1976 as Marriott's Great America. As of 2010, the park has eight themed sections, a 13-acre (53,000 m2) water park, three specially themed children's areas, and various other forms of entertainment.

In addition to the rides and shows, Great America has plenty of shopping and dining options. Shopping includes souvenirs, clothing and candy. Dining includes pizza, pasta, burgers, chicken, fajitas, special kids' meals, funnel cakes and more.
