Six Flags New England, Springfield

Six Flags New England, formerly called Riverside Amusement Park . Located off of Massachusetts State Route 159, Six Flags New England is located in greater Springfield, Massachusetts, in the nearby town of Agawam, Massachusetts.

Like most Six Flags parks, it consists of a theme park and a water park. Technically speaking, it's the oldest of the Six Flags parks, though it did not originally open as such. It is one of three major theme parks in New England, the other two being Canobie Lake Park in New Hampshire, which is located northeast of the park, and Lake Compounce in Connecticut, which is south-southwest of it.

New for 2010 - Mr. Six's Splash Island, which includes 16,000 square feet (1,500 m2) of drenching thrills and relaxation for the entire family. It features a 30,000 gallon shaded wave pool designed specifically for little ones, and a 150-foot (46 m) interactive lazy river with dumping coconuts, rain curtains and squirting water to keep the whole family cool. It also includes ten private cabanas.
