A new Infinity Coaster from Gerstlauer is heading to Adventureland in Iowa, the $9 million roller coaster The Monster opens in June 2016 as the first of its kind in the United States.
The Monster will have a 2500 foot steel track, a 133 foot vertical lift hill, 5 inversions, a 101 degree first drop (that is steeper than anywhere in Iowa or surrounding states) and 10 airtime moments. The coaster will cross the existing Sky Ride eight times and has the first negative-G stall loop in the western hemisphere.
There are currently 4 other examples of the Infinity Coaster around the world, The Smiler at Alton Towers in the UK, Der Schwur des Kärnan at Hansa Park and Karacho at Tripsdrill in Germany, and Junker at Power Park in Finland.
