Six Flags Over Georgia, Atlanta
Six Flags Over Georgia is a 230-acre (0.93 km2) theme park located west of Atlanta. Opened in 1967, it is the second park in the Six Flags chain, after the original opening in 1961 in Texas.
For 42 years, the park has been the destination for affordable, family fun. With 10 action-packed roller coasters, two playfully themed children's areas, four interactive water rides, there's no better spot for thrills and spills than Six Flags Over Georgia!
Six Flags Over Georgia is also the home of "40 Fun Things For Kids To Do," the most comprehensive menu of kid-friendly, mom and dad approved items that can be found for fun activities while at the park. If you're looking for a bigger thrill, be sure to try one of our hair-raising coasters, such as Goliath. With its two 17-story drops, speeds approaching 70 miles per hour and a 3.5 minute trek across 8 acres of the park, you'll understand just how fitting the name "Goliath" actually is.
