Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced a brand new nighttime show destined for its newest theme park, Universal Epic Universe.
Known as Universal Celestial Goodnight, the production is scheduled to begin its nightly run on Tuesday, 7 July 2026, offering theme park visitors a grand finale to their day.
This new upcoming spectacular will take place in Celestial Park, the central hub of Epic Universe. According to Universal, the production will completely envelop the area with an array of technological features.
What is Universal Celestial Goodnight?
The show is designed to celebrate the various worlds connected to the hub, referencing the characters and narratives found within the park portals. The production incorporates the specific intellectual properties located across the destination:
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic
- Dark Universe
Universal's entertainment team has integrated substantial technical infrastructure into the Celestial Park landscape to support the nightly performances. The choreography will span the environment from Luna to Apollo, utilising integrated lighting and water systems. This includes nearly 600 synchronised light fixtures, over 350 larger-than-life fountains, and 7 million embedded LED lights.
All the elements will be fully synchronised to a high-energy musical score. The entire performance will culminate in a major fireworks display above the park, serving as the final farewell for guests concluding their day at Epic Universe.
Universal Celestial Goodnight will run nightly starting 7 July. Visitors planning trips to Universal Orlando Resort this summer can view the performance as part of their regular admission to Universal Epic Universe.
