Universal has revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures’ smash-hit horror film Sinners will be coming to Halloween Horror Nights this autumn, bringing an all-new haunted house to both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood.

The announcement follows the movie's historic success, having grossed over $370 million globally, and securing four Oscar wins from a record-breaking 16 Academy Award nominations.

The new haunted house will debut at Universal Orlando Resort on Friday 28 August, and at Universal Studios Hollywood on Thursday 3 September.

Directed by Ryan Coogler and produced alongside Zinzi Coogler and Sev Ohanian of Proximity Media, Sinners is set in the 1930s Mississippi Delta. The story follows twin brothers Smoke and Stack as they return home to open a local community juke joint, only for the opening night to be violently disrupted by a troupe of unrelenting vampires.

In a joint statement, the Proximity Media producing team expressed their excitement about the collaboration: "It’s been incredible to see audiences connect with Sinners in such a powerful way. Now, partnering with Halloween Horror Nights gives fans the chance to step even deeper into the world of the film to feel the music, the atmosphere and the tension all around them."

Inside the Juke Joint Terror

The terrifying new attraction will transport guests back in time to the popular Club Juke. Visitors will quickly find themselves caught in a deadly struggle for survival as the film's notorious, red-eyed vampires Remmick, Bert and Joan appear with an insatiable hunger.

As guests attempt to evade the bloodthirsty creatures, they will encounter popular characters from the film, including Sammie, Mary, Annie, Pearline and Cornbread. Universal has promised that the psychological tension and brutal scares will only relent once the sun rises.

John Murdy, Executive Producer of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood, stated: "Just as Ryan Coogler’s Academy Award winning film, Sinners re-invented the vampire movie, we are re-inventing the haunted house and creating new ways to scare our guests that we’ve never attempted before."

Mike Aiello, Senior Director of Entertainment Creative Development at Universal Orlando Resort, added: "Its world, characters and intensity will translate into a relentless haunted house. We can’t wait for our fans to step inside and experience the horror firsthand."
