Great Escape has unveiled a brand-new theme park logo, marking the next chapter for the iconic Lake George regional attraction while honoring more than seven decades of heritage.

The new identity was officially revealed during The Awakening at an exclusive Fright Fest event for Season Pass Holders. Formerly known as Six Flags Great Escape, the park's new updated branding brings together recognizable elements of its Storytown USA roots, its scenic mountain setting, and generations of family fun.

The resort was originally opened in 1954 as Storytown USA before being acquired by Premier Parks (later Six Flags) in 1996. It adopted the Six Flags brand in 2019 as Six Flags Great Escape and Hurricane Harbor. Following the park's acquisition by EPR Properties in early 2026, operation of the resort transitioned to Enchanted Parks, and the park returned to its core identity as simply Great Escape.

Andrew Burggraf, Park President of Great Escape Resort, highlighted the importance of the new look:

"Great Escape has grown and changed throughout its history, but the traditions and memories created here have always been at the heart of the park. This new logo celebrates where Great Escape began while representing everything guests know and love about the park today. It connects our past with an exciting new chapter as part of Enchanted Parks."

Emblem Inspired by Heritage and Environment

The new visual identity incorporates several distinct design elements that pay homage to the park's history, attractions, and location:

  • Merry Miller’s Mill (The Mill House): Represents Great Escape’s Storytown USA roots. The original storybook attraction, complete with its iconic waterwheel, remains in the park today.
  • Roller Coaster: Symbolizes the park’s thrill rides and family coasters accumulated over seven decades.
  • Water Splash: Reflects the outdoor waterpark and its enduring role in the resort's summer experience.
  • Adirondack Mountains & Evergreens: Connects the park visually to its location at the base of the Adirondack Mountains in the Lake George region.
  • "By Enchanted Parks": Formally acknowledges the park’s new ownership under Enchanted Parks.

The logo unveiled at the park's front gate is the first step in a broader brand refresh. Additional new identities for the outdoor waterpark, Great Escape Lodge, and the indoor waterpark will be introduced later this year.

Seasonal Operations and 2027 Season Passes

Visitors heading to the park for Fright Fest and Boo Fest weekends through 25 October will be among the first to see the new signage at the front entrance. The phased brand transition will continue across the resort into 2027.

In conjunction with the logo launch, Great Escape has released 2027 Season Passes starting at $7 per month (after down payment, plus applicable taxes and fees). Guests who purchase it by 11 October will receive Unlimited All-Day Fast Lane access for every operating day in June 2027, along with admission for the remainder of the 2026 season at no extra cost.
