LEGOLAND New York Resort is revving up for its 2026 season with the launch of an exciting new indoor experience, LEGO Ferrari Build & Race, set to open in March 2026 alongside the park’s seasonal reopening.
This high-energy attraction blends hands-on creativity with interactive digital racing, inviting guests to design, build, and race their own Ferrari-inspired LEGO cars. By combining LEGO building with virtual competition, Build & Race delivers a playful motorsports experience designed for families and aspiring engineers alike.
What to Expect
The new attraction is divided into four distinct themed zones, each offering a different way to engage with the Ferrari brand and LEGO creativity.
The experience begins in the Garage Zone, anchored by a striking life-size LEGO Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider. Constructed from more than 550,000 LEGO bricks, the model weighs nearly 4,000 pounds and took over 2,300 hours to complete. Guests will be able to step inside the vehicle for photos, making it one of the most impressive LEGO display models ever built for the park.
In the Build and Test Zone, guests take on the role of a pit crew member, designing and assembling their own LEGO Ferrari cars. Once complete, creations can be tested on physical ramps and tracks, allowing builders to experiment with speed, stability, and aerodynamics.
The Race Track Zone shifts the action to the digital world. After scanning their cars, guests can customize performance elements and race their designs on a virtual track inspired by Ferrari’s Fiorano circuit. Lap times are recorded, encouraging friendly competition and repeat attempts to refine each build.
Younger visitors are catered for in the DUPLO Zone, which features larger bricks and simplified activities so smaller builders can participate safely while still feeling part of the racing experience.
A Global Experience Arrives in New York
LEGO Ferrari Build & Race is part of a growing lineup of Ferrari-branded attractions at LEGOLAND parks worldwide. The New York installation follows similar experiences in Billund, Windsor, California, Florida, and Malaysia, continuing Merlin Entertainments’ partnership with Ferrari to combine motorsport heritage with LEGO play.
