Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles has officially opened Looney Tunes Land, in a total transformation of the park's dedicated family area.
Developed in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, the refreshed destination moves away from traditional single-theme structures to encourage family exploration across four separate zones, each inspired by classic cartoon shorts and characters.
The grand opening is timed alongside the 55th anniversary of Six Flags Magic Mountain. According to park officials, the expansion represents the second phase of a multi-year redevelopment plan for the California resort, following last year's extensive refurbishment of the adjacent Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles water park. Management has also confirmed that a major new roller coaster project is scheduled to debut next year.

Four Distinct Themed Areas
The redesigned 12-acre footprint divides the family area into environments inspired by distinct geographical landscapes and character groups:
TAZ-mania
Based around a tropical wilderness theme, this zone features Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, where families board the colorful Tasmanian Express for a scenic journey through themed landscaping. The area will also introduce an interactive, augmented-reality treasure hunt called Taz’s Exploration Trail later this season.
Road Runner Ridge
Reflecting a New Mexico desert aesthetic, this area focuses on the classic pursuit between Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. The central attraction is the Road Runner Express, a family roller coaster featuring 679 feet of track winding through rock formations and desert terrain. The area also incorporates an interactive "painted tunnel" photo opportunity alongside hidden ACME traps.
Bugs Bunny Play Park
Positioned as the central hub for younger children, this section features traditional flat rides scaled down for smaller riders. Key attractions include:
- Merrie Melodies Merrie-Go-Round: A classic carousel sized for toddlers.
- Sylvester’s Pounce & Bounce: A 20-foot drop tower ride with a bouncing motion.
- Looney Ballooneys: A spinning hot air balloon basket ride.
- Funny Flyers: A propeller-plane themed attraction.
- Vacation Mayhem: A brand-new live stage show hosted at the Bugs Bunny Amphitheater.
- Wise Acres (Coming Soon): A free-play exploration zone featuring crawling tunnels and climbing structures.
Camp Duck Amuck
Designed with a High Sierra mountain lodge theme, this zone places Daffy Duck in charge of an outdoor adventure camp. It features Daffy’s Forest Four-Wheelers, a jeep-themed driving track utilising educational safety and nature conservation signs alongside animated character scenes. The area also houses the Canyon Cruiser starter coaster, the Camp Bus ride, and the Camp Duck Amuck Fun Fort, which is a multi-level climbing structure and obstacle maze.
