Peacock has unveiled the trailer for Epic Ride: The Story of Universal Theme Parks, a brand-new three-part docuseries set to debut Monday, September 29.
The series takes viewers on an unprecedented journey through the history of Universal’s theme parks while spotlighting the high-stakes race to launch Universal Epic Universe, the most ambitious project in Universal Orlando Resort’s history.
Blending rare archival footage with exclusive behind-the-scenes access, Epic Ride offers a sweeping look at how Universal built its reputation as a pioneer in entertainment and immerses viewers in the countdown to the opening of Epic Universe.
The new docuseries also features candid interviews with some of Hollywood’s biggest names, including Donna Langley (NBCUniversal Entertainment & Studios), Steven Spielberg (filmmaker and Universal Destinations & Experiences Creative Consultant), Kathleen Kennedy (E.T., Jurassic Park), Frank Marshall (Back to the Future), Jon M. Chu (Wicked), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), Michelle Yeoh (Wicked), and Vin Diesel (Fast & Furious). Their insights reveal not only Universal’s decades-long legacy but also the creative vision shaping its next groundbreaking chapter.
From engineers and costume designers to choreographers, performers, and creative executives, the series highlights the countless talents working to bring the “theme park of the future” to life.
Alongside the docuseries, fans can also dive into Inside the Worlds of Epic Universe, a one-hour Peacock special hosted by Joe Manganiello. This exclusive special takes viewers on a tour through the portals of Epic Universe.
