Walt Disney World has announced that Disney's Lakeshore Lodge will officially open its doors on 1 July 2027.
Situated along the peaceful shores of Bay Lake, the new waterfront resort will offer 967 rooms. The design focuses on the beauty of the natural world and draws inspiration from classic Disney animation.
Rooms Inspired by Nature
The resort provides a wide range of accommodation options to suit families and solo travellers alike. Each space features natural materials and earthy colour palettes.
- Lake Houses: These freestanding retreats sleep up to eight guests. They offer expansive lake views, private porches and artwork inspired by Brother Bear.
- Duo Studios: Designed for two guests, these cosy rooms feature a foldaway bed and vibrant decor inspired by Encanto.
- Deluxe Studios and Villas: Themed around Bambi, these spaces range from studios for four guests to large villas sleeping up to nine.
- Grand Villas: Sleeping up to 12 guests, these spacious villas incorporate the artistic elegance of Fantasia.
- Resort Rooms: Accommodating up to four guests, these rooms celebrate Pocahontas with carved wood panelling and scenic murals.
Dining and Recreation
Guests looking to relax can visit The Wetlands. This sprawling outdoor recreation area features a swimming pool, a lazy river, a spiral water slide and a play zone inspired by the music of Pocahontas.
The resort will also debut several new food and beverage locations:
- Moonglade: A signature waterfront restaurant offering picturesque views of Bay Lake.
- Bay Lake Provisions: A marketplace open all day serving fresh food and speciality coffees.
- Paint Out Point Bar and Grill: A casual poolside spot showcasing original Imagineer artwork.
