Merlin Entertainments has announced the name of their new indoor roller coasters opening at both LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California in early 2026.

Launching from Spaceport 885, named after the original LEGO Space Scooter set #885, the Galacticoaster will take families on an out-of-this-world adventure.

Merlin says the new experiences are the most technologically advanced ever developed for its LEGOLAND parks, promising immersive storytelling, cutting-edge ride systems, and signature LEGO creativity.

Flora Liu, Senior Project Manager at Merlin Magic Making, said:

"It’s part of Merlin’s largest-ever LEGOLAND investment – $90 million to bring Galacticoaster to both LEGOLAND California and LEGOLAND Florida. We’ve pulled inspiration from LEGO sets families have loved for decades, while layering in modern technology to create the most immersive and personalized coaster experience yet."

Created in collaboration with the LEGO Group, the new attractions are being developed by Merlin Magic Making—the in-house creative team behind many of Merlin’s most ambitious projects. These indoor coasters will anchor larger themed environments designed to transport guests into a LEGO galaxy filled with cosmic characters, interactive features, and surprises around every corner.

Merlin describes the project as a strategic step in expanding the appeal of LEGOLAND resorts to a global fanbase while strengthening the partnership between the company and the LEGO brand. The goal: to bring the boundless creativity of LEGO together with the wonder of space exploration, in an experience that is both thrilling and family-friendly.
