Six Flags Magic Mountain has announced a major transformation of its longtime family area, revealing plans for Looney Tunes™ Land, a completely reimagined kids and family zone set to debut in summer 2026.
The new land will replace the park’s existing children’s area with a cohesive, story-driven environment inspired by the classic Chuck Jones era of Looney Tunes. Designed to encourage exploration, Looney Tunes Land will be divided into four distinct themed areas, each centered around iconic characters from the beloved Warner Bros. franchise.
At the heart of the land will be a central park-style hub where Bugs Bunny welcomes guests into his world. From there, families can explore environments inspired by the deserts of the American Southwest, lush tropical landscapes, and the High Sierra mountains — all brought to life through immersive theming, landscaping, and character-driven storytelling.
TAZ-MANIA
One of the most significant changes comes with TAZ-mania, a tropical-themed area overtaken by the unpredictable Tasmanian Devil. The Whistlestop Train will be rethemed as Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, offering a lively ride through island scenery — with Taz himself causing chaos along the route. A brand-new attraction, Taz’s Exploration Trail, will replace the former Magic Flyer and Tweety’s Escape locations, inviting guests on a treasure-hunt-style walk-through experience. New seating areas and turf will also be added to enhance the space.
Road Runner Ridge
In Road Runner Ridge, guests will step into a New Mexico-inspired desert landscape as Wile E. Coyote continues his never-ending pursuit of the Road Runner. Expect playful details throughout, including hidden ACME traps, stylized rockwork, and a painted tunnel reminiscent of the classic cartoons. The area is designed to deliver visual humor and surprises at every turn.
Bugs Bunny Play Park
The central Bugs Bunny Play Park will focus on free play and interactive exploration, replacing Speedy Gonzalez Hot Rods and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party. The popular Merrie Melodies Merrie-Go-Round will receive a full refurbishment, including a new color scheme and marquee. Nearby, Wascal’s restaurant will be refreshed with updated façades and picnic-style seating to evoke a civic park atmosphere. A new Granny’s House walk-through experience, featuring 2D-style interior elements, will be added to the building’s rear façade.
Camp Duck Amuck
Rounding out the land is Camp Duck Amuck, a High Sierra-inspired zone led by Daffy Duck. Here, Taz’s Trucking Company will be rethemed as Daffy’s Forest Four-Wheelers, allowing young guests to join “forest ranger” Daffy on a jeep-style ride. The experience will incorporate humorous scenes alongside educational messages focused on conservation and outdoor safety. The nearby Looney Tunes Lodge will also be refurbished to resemble a rustic mountain cabin with new wood-look flooring.

According to Six Flags, each area of Looney Tunes Land will feature its own color palette, landscaping, signage, and custom details — including character footprints embedded in concrete — to ensure every zone feels unique.
Construction on Looney Tunes Land is scheduled to begin in early January 2026, following the conclusion of Holiday in the Park. The project will be completed in three phases, allowing portions of the family area to remain open during construction. Additional attraction updates and name changes are expected to be announced closer to opening.
The debut of Looney Tunes Land will coincide with Six Flags Magic Mountain’s 55th anniversary and marks the second major investment in a multi-year revitalization plan for the park, following the extensive refurbishment of Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles in 2025.
ThemeParks-US.com will continue to follow this project and share updates as new details are released.
