Kentucky Kingdom is taking family fun to new heights with the announcement of its brand-new roller coaster, Flying Fox, set to open in Spring 2026.
This all-new family-friendly coaster marks the park’s first new roller coaster since 2019 and will become the sixth coaster in Kentucky Kingdom’s lineup — the most of any theme park in the state.
With an investment of $14 million, Flying Fox invites guests to join the daring adventures of local legend and crop-dusting pilot Jeb Fox, soaring high above a vibrant Kentucky farmland setting.

The queue will begin inside a red barn-inspired building, where guests will pass through hand-painted murals and playful audio narration from Jeb himself. The attraction’s story and design celebrate Kentucky’s agricultural heritage while adding a lighthearted, family-oriented twist that fits perfectly with the park’s warm Southern charm.
The 1,380-foot-long coaster promises a smooth yet thrilling flight through the countryside, reaching a maximum height of 65 feet and speeds of up to 37 mph. The experience will last 63 seconds, offering sweeping aerial views before a dramatic plunge through an underground tunnel — one of the ride’s standout moments sure to delight both kids and adults alike.

Sarah Worrell, General Manager of Kentucky Kingdom, said:
“At Kentucky Kingdom, our mission is to create memories worth repeating, and the addition of Flying Fox is the next exciting chapter in that journey. With the debut of Discovery Meadow in 2025, we set a new standard for immersive, family- friendly experiences, and Flying Fox builds on that momentum. This new coaster represents not only our continued investment in the park, but also our commitment to transforming Kentucky Kingdom into a place where families can return year after year and always find something new to discover.”
With the addition of this new ride, Kentucky Kingdom continues to expand its reputation as a destination for both thrill-seekers and families. Guests can look forward to taking flight in 2026, as Jeb Fox invites everyone to “soar the skies” over Louisville and beyond.
