Construction has reached a major milestone at Six Flags Over Texas with the completion of the world’s tallest Immelmann inversion on Tormenta Rampaging Run, the park’s upcoming headline attraction for 2026.
The all-new coaster, currently under construction at the original Six Flags park, is being billed as the world’s first giga dive coaster, rising more than 300 feet and combining the scale of a giga coaster with the signature vertical drop and very wide trains associated with dive machines.

Universal Orlando Resort has officially announced its next major attraction for Universal Studios Florida: Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, a high-speed outdoor roller coaster scheduled to open in 2027.
The new attraction will replace the park’s previous signature roller coaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, marking a significant shift in both thrill level and intellectual property focus for the front of Universal Studios Florida.
According to Universal, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will immerse guests directly into the Fast & Furious film franchise with a coaster experience built around speed, precision, and extreme maneuvers.

LEGOLAND California Resort has revealed the first official details of LEGO Galaxy, a major new space-themed land currently under construction at the Carlsbad theme park.

One of Universal Orlando Resort’s most beloved attractions — Jurassic Park River Adventure at Islands of Adventure — has officially closed for a major refurbishment that will keep it out of operation for most of 2026.
The attraction, a cornerstone of the Jurassic Park themed land since the park’s opening in 1999, began its extended downtime on January 5, 2026. Current refurbishment schedules indicate the ride is expected to remain closed until approximately November 19, 2026, making this one of the longest refurbishment periods in the attraction’s history.
