SeaWorld San Antonio is expanding its rapidly growing roller coaster collection with the announcement of Barracuda Strike, a brand-new attraction set to debut in spring 2026.
Touted as Texas’ first inverted family roller coaster, the new ride promises a fast, fluid, and highly accessible thrill experience suspended beneath the track.
Jeff Davis, SeaWorld San Antonio Park President.:
“Barracuda Strike is a game-changer for family thrill rides, and we are excited to bring another great roller coaster to our guests in the spring of 2026. It will be fast, fierce, and fun—bringing guests closer to the ocean’s energy and mystery in a way only SeaWorld can.”
A New Wave of Family Thrills
Barracuda Strike will become the park’s eighth roller coaster and the third family-friendly addition in three years, continuing SeaWorld San Antonio’s push to diversify its ride lineup for all ages.
Designed to emulate the speed and precision of its aquatic namesake, the attraction will glide directly over the park’s iconic water ski lake, offering sweeping views and a unique sensation of soaring just above the water with no track beneath riders’ feet.
