Buckle up for a new spin on a fan-favorite attraction – Test Track in EPCOT at Walt Disney World will reopen on July 22.

After more than a year of reimagining, the high-speed thrill ride is returning with a fresh look, new scenes, and a completely reworked musical score designed to enhance the storytelling from queue to finale.

More than just a showcase of cutting-edge automotive technology, this new version of Test Track draws inspiration from the original World of Motion, honoring the spirit of discovery, progress, and human connection. Whether you're a longtime fan or a first-time rider, this is a road trip you won’t want to miss.

Guests will now experience what it’s like to see through the “eyes” of a vehicle, with one standout scene showcasing how advanced cameras and sensors help cars navigate the world around them. Walt Disney Imagineering brought this futuristic vision to life using over 29,000 points of programmable light, creating an immersive environment that blends technology and art in signature EPCOT style.

The reimagined ride vehicles have been redesigned with sleek, research-inspired aesthetics, including darker exteriors, upgraded interiors, and dynamic lighting. The queue has also received a full update, now featuring interactive exhibits that explore the past, present, and future of mobility, allowing guests to engage with automotive innovation before they even board the ride.

Inside the attraction, scenes focus on personalization, onboard tech, and the emotional connections we form with our vehicles. One new segment takes riders through a simulated forest environment, replacing older laser-style effects with more naturalistic visuals that capture the beauty of the open road. While much of the ride's core layout remains intact, the story and theming have evolved to embrace a broader celebration of driving—not just performance, but the joy of the journey.

Of course, the signature finale remains: a thrilling high-speed loop around the exterior of the building, pushing nearly 65 miles per hour, making Test Track the fastest ride at Walt Disney World.

The attraction is currently in its final testing phase, with ride vehicles in motion and construction walls removed. Cast Member previews are already underway, and special early access opportunities for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents, and Club 33 Members will follow in the lead-up to opening day. Once it officially reopens, Test Track will join EPCOT’s top-tier Lightning Lane selections, replacing Soarin’ in the premier lineup.
