The wait is over! Universal Orlando Resort has officially opened the gates to its groundbreaking new theme park, Universal Epic Universe, welcoming guests from around the world to experience a new chapter in immersive entertainment.
Marking a historic milestone in theme park history, Epic Universe becomes the third theme park at Universal Orlando and is already being celebrated as one of the most ambitious projects Universal Destinations & Experiences has ever undertaken.
This morning’s grand opening ceremony, streamed live, featured a celebratory moment to officially welcome guests into the park. Yesterday, an exclusive VIP nighttime celebration event offered a another glimpse of Epic Universe’s grandeur during a star-studded affair, featuring celebrity arrivals, team interviews, and a dazzling nighttime spectacle in Celestial Park.
We visited the 110 acre (45 hectare) park several weeks ago, for a two-day preview of the five immersive themed worlds. It offers over 50 new experiences, including cutting-edge attractions, awe-inspiring entertainment, and next-level dining and shopping.
Epic Universe’s five immersive worlds:
- Celestial Park – The gateway to the entire park, Celestial Park dazzles with futuristic gardens, kinetic architecture, and some of the park’s signature attractions like the Constellation Carousel and Starfall Racers dueling coaster.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic – A brand-new chapter in the Wizarding World invites guests into a 1920s Parisian wizarding society and the iconic British Ministry of Magic.
- SUPER NINTENDO WORLD – Straight from the Mushroom Kingdom, guests can meet Mario, Luigi, and friends while racing through iconic landscapes on Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge.
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk – Soar alongside dragons and explore the Viking village of Berk, complete with family-friendly rides and interactive adventures.
- Dark Universe – A gothic, eerie land where the legendary Universal Monsters come to life in thrilling and terrifying ways.
Anchoring the park is the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a stunning 500-room property that offers breathtaking views and a dedicated entrance directly into Epic Universe, making it a prime destination for overnight guests looking to stay within the magic.
