Steel Vengeance will Debut at Cedar Point in 2018

Cedar Point’s Frontier Town will be transformed when Steel Vengeance – the tallest, fastest and longest hybrid roller coaster in the world – opens in the spring of 2018.

At more than 200 feet tall, the new hybrid design combines a steel running track on a massive wooden structure that provides an extremely smooth and comfortable ride while enabling the coaster’s trains to perform maneuvers previously unheard of on a wooden roller coaster.

The new ride replaces the wooded coaster Mean Streak that closed at Cedar Point last year.

Twisted Timbers is New at Kings Dominion in 2018

Kings Dominion has now announced Twisted Timbers as their new roller coaster for 2018.

The new ride replaces the Hurler wooden coaster that closed at Kings Dominion last year, and follows the opening of Mystic Timbers at sister theme park Kings Island this year.

New Sol Spin Ride at Knott's Berry Farm in 2017

There’s a whole lot of fun for everyone coming to Knott’s Berry Farm in 2017 with a brand new Sol Spin thrill ride, an extended Knott’s Boysenberry Festival, a return of the brilliant Ghost Town Alive! during the summer, and the expansion of Knott’s Soak City Waterpark.

Sol Spin will bring brand new hair-raising thrills to the Fiesta Village area of the park this season, where the former WindSeeker ride was once located. The new ride, a Mondial Top Scan, will send brave guests on a thrilling topsy-turvy adventure over 6 stories high as they rotate in all directions on one of six spinning arms. Sol Spin will be the newest addition to the theme park’s world-class line up of more than 40 rides and attractions when it opens in spring 2017.
