Motorsports and roller coasters have united in Austin, Texas. COTALAND, the new theme park at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), held its grand opening weekend on September 26-27, following an exclusive VIP and media preview on September 25.

Conceived as a vibrant, year-round entertainment destination, the theme park introduces an entirely new offering for Texas leisure. Offering a combination of family attractions, thrilling rides, motorsport experiences, live entertainment, and diverse dining options, COTALAND marks a major step forward in COTA’s ongoing mission to transform its world-class racing venue into a full-scale entertainment campus.

Positioned track-side between turns 19 and 20 of the iconic race circuit, the park spans over 30 unique experiences, catering to adrenaline seekers and families alike.

Thrills on and off the Track

Among the headlining attractions drawing crowds are several standout engineering feats:

• Circuit Breaker: Texas’ very first tilt coaster, promising a heart-stopping drop that leaves riders dangling before plunging into the action.
• Palindrome: A unique thrill-maker, boasting the distinction of being the only steel roller coaster to operate directly over an active roadway.
• Hot Lap: An optional add-on experience allowing park guests to feel the G-forces firsthand with an authentic ride-along directly on the Formula 1 track.

Food, Drink, and Atmosphere

Visitors looking to refuel after tackling the coasters will find plenty of choice across the park. Dining options range from classic favourites like pizza, nachos, and chicken wings to sweet treats including ice cream. Additionally, guests can unwind with snacks, artisan coffee, and alcoholic beverages at various destinations located conveniently throughout the grounds.

With its grand opening now successfully complete, COTALAND is set to become a premier fixture in the Lone Star State's theme park league.
