In an exciting announcement for thrill-seekers, Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, has been revealed as the new home for ArieForce One. The fan-favourite steel roller coaster is officially slated to open to guests in 2028.

After months of speculation about where the attraction would ultimately land, visitors now have a definitive answer, and it comes as a genuine surprise. Six Flags Magic Mountain was far from the top of most expected lists, as the park already has two popular rides from the same manufacturer: Twisted Colossus and Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage. Adding ArieForce One gives the park an extraordinary trio from the same acclaimed designer.

The Destination Revealed

The news was first reported yesterday, 29 October, by the Orange County Register and subsequently confirmed by park officials. The announcement narrows down the timeline previously given by Six Flags, pinning down a firm 2028 debut rather than a broader 2028–2029 window.

Track pieces and structural supports from the Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) coaster have already begun arriving at the Southern California park via transport trucks. The ride's trains will undergo a comprehensive refurbishment provided by RMC at their facility in Idaho before being installed on site.

Engineering & Future Transformations

Six Flags Magic Mountain park president Brian Oerding confirmed that engineering and onsite planning are still underway, meaning an exact location for the 154-foot-tall hybrid coaster inside the park has not yet been finalised. However, Oerding hinted that this addition is merely one piece of a much larger puzzle, teasing that the park is preparing for "one of the most significant transformations" in its long history.

A World-Class Thrill Ride

The acquisition brings an acclaimed attraction to a park already legendary for its collection of 16 roller coasters. Reaching speeds of 64 mph across 3,400 feet of steel track, ArieForce One features four inversions, including a massive zero-gravity stall that made it an instant hit with visitors when it originally debuted at Fun Spot America Atlanta in 2023.

For Southern California visitors, the arrival of ArieForce One in 2028 marks another major capital investment for the self-proclaimed 'Thrill Capital of the World', joining a multi-year development slate for the park.
