Marking a historic milestone in theme park history, Epic Universe becomes the third theme park at Universal Orlando and is already being celebrated as one of the most ambitious projects Universal Destinations & Experiences has ever undertaken.
This morning’s grand opening ceremony, streamed live, featured a celebratory moment to officially welcome guests into the park. Yesterday, an exclusive VIP nighttime celebration event offered a another glimpse of Epic Universe’s grandeur during a star-studded affair, featuring celebrity arrivals, team interviews, and a dazzling nighttime spectacle in Celestial Park.

SeaWorld San Diego is bringing back a fan-favorite with a bold new twist. The iconic Journey to Atlantis water coaster is set to reopen in 2025, reimagined with cutting-edge technology, immersive storytelling, and a refreshed adventure that blends fantasy, science, and thrill.
First debuting in 2004 as San Diego’s first water coaster, Journey to Atlantis quickly became a staple attraction for visitors. It is now undergoing a dramatic transformation that promises to excite both nostalgic fans and first-time riders alike.
The reimagined attraction will take guests on a new expedition into the lost world of Atlantis, incorporating a fresh storyline centered around the S.E.A. Collective, an intrepid team of scientists and explorers dedicated to uncovering the secrets of the deep. Guests will follow the group’s mission through three immersive chapters: Discovery, Descent, and Escape.

Hersheypark, Pennsylvania’s largest amusement park, in collaboration with S&S Worldwide, is thrilled to unveil Twizzlers Twisted Gravity, an exciting, record-breaking attraction set to open on May 24, 2025.
As the tallest Screamin’ Swing in the world, this new addition to the park promises a high-thrill experience that combines cutting-edge ride design with the iconic Twizzlers brand.

Six Flags America and its adjacent water park, Hurricane Harbor, will permanently close following the 2025 season. The two parks, located in Bowie, Maryland, will cease operations on November 2, 2025.
The move comes as part of Six Flags’ broader portfolio optimization strategy, and the 500-acre property will be marketed for redevelopment, with commercial real estate firm CBRE engaged to oversee the sale process.
The announcement marks the end of an era for a park that has been a staple in the Mid-Atlantic region ever since it opened. Originally launched as Wild World in the 1970s and later rebranded as Adventure World, the theme park became part of the Six Flags family in the late 1990s.

SeaWorld Orlando has officially announced that its highly anticipated new attraction, Expedition Odyssey, will open to the public on May 1, 2025.
Billed as the world’s first fully immersive Arctic experience, Expedition Odyssey is set to redefine what guests expect from theme park adventures by blending next-generation ride technology with real-world animal encounters and breath-taking visuals.
Before the grand opening, Annual Pass Members will have the exclusive opportunity to be among the first to experience the attraction during a series of preview days beginning April 26.

Universal Orlando Resort continues to prepare for the official opening of Universal Epic Universe on May 22, but the Florida destination is now giving select guests the opportunity to preview the highly anticipated theme park beginning on April 17.
Starting today, Annual and Seasonal Passholders, 2025 Military Freedom Pass Ticket Holders, Universal Rewards Signature VISA Card members and guests staying at a Universal Orlando hotel can purchase tickets to access Epic Universe during its preview period.
Additional audiences will be able to purchase tickets to preview the groundbreaking new theme park in the weeks ahead. Please note that during the preview period, availability of experiences within Epic Universe may vary as Universal puts the final touches on the park in preparation for its grand opening on May 22.

In a significant move that will further reshape the landscape of US theme parks, Herschend has entered into an agreement to acquire Palace Entertainment’s entire portfolio from Parques Reunidos.
This acquisition will add over 20 entertainment venues across 10 states to Herschend's expanding portfolio, bolstering the company’s position as the world’s largest family-held themed entertainment organization.
