Universal Orlando Resort has announced Universal's Epic Universe, a new theme park with an entertainment center, hotels, shopping and restaurants.

The announcement didn't includes any details of the themed areas, rides or attractions that will feature in the new theme park, or an anticipated opening date.
Universal's Epic Universe will be located on a new site 15 minutes from the existing resort area that includes Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure, Universal's Volcano Bay and CityWalk.
